Russia Results

It was a fight to remember! Jason Mischewski fought Dmitry Grafov for the WKU <67kg title in Moscow, Russia on the 5th of July. Despite a tremendous fight, Mischewski was bettered by his very fit and fast opponent. Personally, I've seen over the years many who claim to be rough and tough warriors; strong with words but ultimately weak when faced with a true test. On the 5th I was privileged to see two fighters get to it, in a battle that will stay with me for many years yet. Jason was stopped in the 4th round, but I can tell you I have never been more proud to be a coach, more proud to be a kiwi or more proud of one of our fighters. I wish you could have seen it, I've never seen before the heart and spirit put into a fight like I did that night... AWESOME!

Jason Mischewski to compete in WORLD TITLE FIGHT, RUSSIA, 6 JULY 2014

TOA Fighter Jason Mischewski, accompanied by partner Terri and Coach Pete Thompson will be on their way to Moscow, Russia on the 2nd of July after being invited to fight for the WKU <67kg WORLD KICKBOXING TITLE. He’ll be up against Russian fighter Dmitry Grafov and it will all go down on 6 July as the main event of a 12 fight card.

Jason’s been training hard and has involved many long sessions in the dojo, the gym and on the road. A huge THANKS to everyone who helped out getting Jason ready for this fight! We’ll be keeping you up to date with regular updates here and on Facebook. OSU!!!
